While it is true that the innate musical talent, discipline, desire and determination of the student are major factors in any music student's progress, the parent's role at home is tremendously significant.
Parents are cheerleaders, commenting on the joy they have listening to their child play.
Parents are providers, seeing the piano is in a quiet place for practice and that it is tuned.
Parents are facilitators, ensuring the student disciplines themselves to practice daily.
Please know I appreciate the time and energy you put into seeing that these things happen!
I'll never forget my mother telling me how much she enjoyed hearing me play. What an affirmation!
